A risk assessments aim is to keep the hole crew and cast safe during filming, it is a necessity in all films and Tv shows for health and safety reasons.
Our risk assessment:
Actors:
Due to us not using many special effects in our film it makes it much less risky for the actors, our original idea was to film it on a roof which would have had a slight risk for actors standing near the edge. As we moved location to an old warehouse it was much less high risk as there were no trip hazards. One risk for our main character (in the cow suit) played by Tom Blount is him having to run with a skew driver and near busy roads. To avoid this we will make it so Tom always run at a steady pace away from the edge of the road, no where near any trip hazards and with the skew driver away from his body. When one of our other actors Harrison (playing one of the drug dealers) has to run across an old car park which may have had trip hazards along it so we will make sure his path is clear
Equipment:
As we will be filming in the winter it may be rainy, windy or slippy. To avoid having any of the equipment damaged in the rain we will have to check the wether fore cast for the days we plan to film and if the rain is particularly bad then we will have to amend the shot schedule to fit our new plans. to avoid any of our equipment falling over and breaking on a windy day we have chosen to not use a tripod as not only will it keep the camera safe but it will also give a better effect and make you feel closer the the film.
